Maybe your trade show staff is ready for your
next trade show. Maybe not. Do they know how to make certain
that waiting visitors don't wander off? Any one of these could
be the biggest prospect this show has to offer. Does your staff
personally escort visitors around the booth so they can hear
about every product and service they might purchase? How about
your staff's ability to politely disengage when conversations
are over, or need to be over?
In the past 16 years, The Hill Group's humorous
and informative exhibit staff training has been used to teach
over 35,000 trade show and exhibit personnel to be more professional
and productive. Every client
we have worked with during this time, including Microsoft, Toshiba
Medical, eBay, Intel, Thermo Electron, Schering-Plough, Darby
Group (third largest dental supply company), Kyphon (medical
device company), Transitions Optical, HP, Mastercard and the
U.S. Department of Commerce, has seen their staff work more
productively, generating more qualified leads (average increase
of 350%) and more hot leads (average increase of 250%.)
What makes The
Hill Group different is training that is fun, memorable
and customized for your business situation. Your staff will
not remember much or be motivated to implement new information
if they are bored and cannot relate to the training. However,
they will master, retain, and quickly make use of newly acquired
skills when the learning is engaging, interactive, entertaining,
and motivating. This is the kind of training we provide.
We've utilized our 20+ years of experience
in sales, marketing, and training to design and develop comprehensive,
practical training programs. But, unlike traditional training
that is predominantly lecture-based, our programs incorporate
different instructional styles: (1) experiential learning
hands-on application of new skills to existing, relevant situations;
(2) peer coaching and reinforcement; your own people helping
and learning from each other; (3) humor based learning
using humor, human props (role-playing with your people), and
silly props (hats, wigs, magic, etc.). Your people will remember
and, more importantly, be able to utilize the knowledge and
skills our trainers
present.
Our trade show exhibit staff programs train your
staff to (1) question and qualify visitors quickly, (2) dismiss
unqualified visitors politely and professionally, (3) focus
demonstrations on the visitor's area of interest, (4) add visitors
to ongoing conversations so they do not have to wait, and (5)
generate complete, useful leads. The four pieces (listed below)
of our training work together to make our program truly unique.
The time needed for training is flexible, based
on the time you have available at your pre-show meeting, and
on the course modules that we select together to meet your company's
training needs. Read more about some of the key trade show exhibit
staff training programs.

We suggest the Trade
Show Selling Skills Workshop, be presented no more
than a week before the targeted show. Most often it is presented
the day before the show opens, at your pre-show meeting, in
a hotel or convention center meeting room. Our Trade
Show Presentation Skills Workshop can be delivered
right after the Trade Show Selling Skills Workshop, or in your
booth before the show opens. (Video cameras are supplied by
The Hill Group for the Presentation Skills Workshop. Your organization
will need to supply monitors for playback and review of these
taped presentations.) Following the workshops, we recommend
working with your staff one-on-one, in your exhibit booth, for
the first two days of the show with our During-the-Show
Coaching and Training. Used in conjunction with our
Exhibit
Staff Incentive Program we will be able to focus
and motivate the staff to meet show objectives.
While on the show floor with you, we make recommendations
to help the entire booth operate more smoothly and efficiently,
our Marketing-on-Demand Consulting Services. Drawing from experience
at over 200 shows, we offer suggestions to help traffic flow,
staffing levels, and coordination of interaction with the booth,
and its signs and graphics.
The Hill Group's trainers
are the best in the business. They are experts in delivering
our workshops and they bring their own years of experience in
event marketing to you. Every client
has been a reference for our exhibit staff training services.
Please call to discuss any questions you have about the program,
and how we can help your exhibit staff be even more productive
at your next trade show. We look forward to working with you
and your exhibit staff.
